We recently celebrated Mabel Elizabeth Abbott’s 100th birthday. Known as “Bette”, Mabel was born on October 6th, 1919 in Columbus, Ohio and attended high school in Collingswood, NJ. She and her husband, George, married in 1948. For 30 years, Abbott worked as a news reporter and feature writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Bulletin. […]
Spectacular Sunflowers Grow Up Big!
It’s amazing how much can happen in three short months! The little sunflower seedlings that we planted in May are now taller than us! They really brighten up our courtyard garden.
